PLEASE SEE THE TRYOUT SCHEDULE BELOW FOR ICS CYO BASKETBALL. THERE ARE NO MAKEUPS PLANNED SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND THE SESSION FOR YOUR CHILD'S GRADE. PLEASE NOTE ALTHOUGH WE ATTEMPT TO ALLOW EVERY CHILD TO PLAY ON A TEAM IN CASES WHERE WE HAVE TOO MANY KIDS FOR ONE TEAM AND NOT ENOUGH FOR TWO TEAMS WE MAY HAVE TO MAKE CUTS.  1ST GRADE PLAYERS DO NOT NEED TO TRYOUT AND WILL ONLY BE PART OF A CLINIC AND NOT TEAMS.  IF YOUR CHILD IS IN 2ND GRADE AND ONLY WANTS TO DO THE CLINIC PLEASE LET US KNOW AND THEY ALSO DO NOT HAVE TO COME TO TRYOUTS.  IF YOUR CHILD IS IN 2ND GRADE AND DOES NOT MAKE THE TEAM THEY WILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLINIC.  IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Please be aware we have just been provided a start date for the 2022/23 season from the Archdiocese. The season will start on 11/5/2022 and all indications are that we will be back to normal this coming season. In preparation for this start we would like to open registrations for tryouts. This will provide us with a clear picture of the number of participants and the number of teams that we will need. Registration for tryouts is free! It is mandatory that you sign up for tryouts, we will NOT accept walk-ups this year.  Please look out for an ICS Crusaders email, parish e-blast, PSR blast and church bulletin for tryout times

The parish is incorporating last year’s rule that will only affect new children trying out for the program. The rule is:

WE WILL NO LONGER ALLOW AN OUT OF PARISH CHILD TO PLAY FOR OUR PARISH UNLESS THE PARISH YOU BELONG TO DOES NOT HAVE A TEAM OR YOU ARE NOT CATHOLIC AND LIVE WITHIN THE BOUNDRIES OF ICS PARISH. THIS WILL NOT AFFECT ANY CHILDREN THAT WERE ON TEAMS LAST YEAR THAT FIT INTO THIS RULE.

Please do not come to tryouts if you are a non parishioner and your parish has a team. You must go to your parish to play basketball. We will be checking new registrants against the church parish list and if we find out you do not belong we will remove your child from the team

Welcome to the home of Immaculate Conception Crusaders Basketball. We are a parish based CYO basketball program open to boys and girls from 1st Grade to 12th Grade. The 3rd through 12th grade teams participate in Westchester/Putnam CYO league and the 1st and 2nd graders attend a basketball fundamentals clinic that will help them improve the skills they need to play.

The purpose of CYO basketball is to provide children with a positive, character-building experience through the vehicle of sports.  Children have the opportunity to practice Christian attitudes and responsibilities, build confidence and self-esteem, and become friends with other children throughout the parish.
